The 14K gold hoop earrings in this collection differ more in profile than in size. At the bold end are chunky dome hoops, a triple hoop, thick huggie hoops and a rope-style sculptural hoop with a vintage feel. Twisted hoops come in two weights, a thin spiral rope and a slightly chunkier twist. For something more graphic there are square, rectangular, hexagon and oval hoops, and a curb chain hoop that borrows its texture from a necklace. Stones are used sparingly: a double row on a round hoop, a single square or baguette cubic zirconia, a solitaire drop, a leaf charm.

Choosing your hoop size

Hoops are measured by outer diameter in millimeters. Small gold hoop earrings, up to roughly 15mm, sit near the lobe and suit daily wear and second piercings. Around 20 to 30mm is the classic visible hoop; beyond that, a hoop becomes the focus of the outfit. Thickness matters as much as diameter, and a chunky 15mm hoop has more presence than a thin 25mm one. If in doubt, measure from the piercing to the edge of the lobe: a huggie should be just larger than that distance. Every pair is stamped 585 or 14K.
